Plagiarism Check
Health Science & Biomedical Journal (HSBJ) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using automated detection software, such as Turnitin, as an initial step in the editorial process.
The preliminary plagiarism check is conducted by the editorial team, and the results are reviewed by the Section Editor assigned to the manuscript. Additional instances of plagiarism may also be detected during the peer-review process by the assigned reviewers.
A final plagiarism screening will be conducted on the revised version of the manuscript before it is accepted for publication.
If plagiarism is detected at any stage, the Section Editor and the Editor-in-Chief will evaluate the severity of the issue based on established ethical guidelines. Actions may include, but are not limited to:
- Requesting manuscript revision to correct minor issues;
- Rejecting the manuscript outright;
- Notifying the author’s institution or funding body in cases of serious misconduct.
The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to make final decisions on a case-by-case basis, considering the context and extent of the plagiarism.
